Rim Clamp

Rim Clamps are “ THE CLAMPS WITH MUSCLE ” for toughest reforming jobs. Jackscrews apply pressure on specific high points to precisely reform and align the pipes or shells. Ideal for applications that require 100% weld and grind without releasing clamping pressure to prohibit cracking of partially completed welds. All surfaces of the Clamp that contact the pipe are made of stainless steel for nuclear and other similar applications.

The Rim Clamps are available for 4” (102mm) to 72” (1829mm) pipes or shells. The clamp will reform pipes or shells to schedule 80 with an out-of-round condition up to 2” (51mm). Exact positioning of the clamp on the pipe is not necessary, as the Jackscrews pivoting pads to handle uneven surfaces.

When Extra Muscle is needed, the Mega Rim Clamp aligns and reforms pipes having a high tensile strength up to 65,000 lbs. with a wall thickness up to 7/8” (22mm). The design incorporates oval shaped heavy-duty sidewalls, extra heavy-duty latching mechanism, and extended Jackbars.
