Double Chain Clamp

The Double Chain Clamp is a heavy-duty vessel clamp designed for the alignment and reforming of large pipes and vessels. The Double Chain Clamp, available for steel and stainless steel models, will align and reform pipes or vessels 10” (254mm) to 20' (6m) in diameter with up to a schedule 80 wall thickness.

The extra heavy-duty Jackbar and Main Block provide the brute strength to accomplish almost any reforming job. The Jackbar Jackscrew pad pivots to handle uneven surfaces encountered during alignment. Spacing Screws added to the clamp's Jackbars facilitates precision weld gap adjustment.

The Double Chain Clamp can be equipped with a power Hydraulic Tensioning Mechanism to effortless close and release the clamp on the pipe. The hydraulic cylinder of the Hydraulic Tensioning Mechanism, which has a 5” (127mm) stroke, applies up to 10,000 lbs. (4535kg) of tension to the standard Double Chain Clamp. The tensioning mechanism provides rapid and effortless tension to the chain of the Double Chain Clamp. Hydraulic pressure is supplied to the Cylinder by a hand pump with reservoir.

Models 10” – 36” thru 10” – 54” come with Level and Support. All other Models come with cable hoist. All Clamps are shipped in a wooden storage crate.
