Double Jackscrew Chain Clamp

Mathey Dearman's Double Jackscrew Chain Clamp brings pipe fit-up technology up to date with welding technology. Available in steel and stainless steel models for pipe sizes 1” (25mm) to 54” (1372mm). One Double Jackscrew Chain Clamp covers the range of eight (8) Cage Clamps. The clamp comes with Level and Support device to support Elbows, tees and other fittings assuring the maximum level of safety to the welder.

The Double Jackscrew Chain Clamp will reform the pipe or fitting on either side of the joint to be welded. The Jackbar jackscrews exert pressure on the high points on both sides of the weld joint to eliminate “Hi-Lo”. The Clamps reforms pipe to schedule 40 and aligns pipe to schedule 80.

Jackbars spaced around the circumference of the pipe provides precision alignment of the inside or outside diameter of the pipes or fittings to the main pipe within 1/64” (.4mm) or less. Double Jackscrew Jackbars have extra clearance under the front edge of the Jackbar to better facilitate the Tig welding torch. Complete welding of the pipe and fittings can be accomplished without removal of the clamp. The pad of Jackbar Jackscrew pivots to handle uneven surfaces encountered in the alignment process. Spacing Screws can be added to the Jackbar for precise weld gap adjustment.
