PortaMil End-Prep Machine

Simple to use tools such as the Porta-Mill end prep machine make flawless pipe ends in just minutes with no spark or flame. Porta-Mill utilizes an ID mounting mandrel to locate and center the cutting head on the end of the pipe. Power for the Rotation of the cutting head of the Porta-Mill can be provided by most hand held 115 and 230vac or pneumatic powered threading heads that facilitates a 12R-threading head.

A variety of weld joint configurations can be effortlessly and economically machined, including “J” preps and counter bores. The Porta-Mill end prep machine, available in several sizes, utilizes standard brazed carbide tipped cutting tools instead of the more expensive insert tools of most end prep machines. These types of carbide tipped cutting tools can easily be reshaped or resharpened as needed to produce the desired bevel.

Easy, Fast Set-up and reliable cost effective operation make Porta-Mill the ideal tool for the repetitive pipe end configurations.
