Mini-MAG

Mini-MAG has all of the outstanding features of the MagnaCut less the Electronic Torch Arm. The cutting torch of the ‘Mini-MAG’ moves backward and forward by means of a manually rotated rack with knob.

‘Mini-MAG’ is capable of cutting both horizontal and vertical pipe and plate.

The ’Mini-MAG’ is equipped with Guide Rollers for use with 1" x 1" x 1/8" angle or MagnaCut Guide Strip vertical cutting.  For improved cutting Accuracy a Guide Strip is recommended when using the ‘Mini-MAG’ to cut pipes 18" and larger.

The Versatile ‘Mini-MAG’ (shown is Plasma cutting 16" / 406mm pipe) can be used as a plate track burner or as a pipe cutting and beveling machine.

NOTE: The ‘MINI-MAG’ XM is equipped with rollers that can be used with 1" X 1" X 1/8" angle iron for vertical up or down hill welding applications.

Mini-MAG’ is capable of cutting 6" / 152.4mm pipes and larger from the outside, 24" / 609.6mm pipes. The machine will also cut 16" pipes and larger parallel to the pipe centerline.

‘Mini-MAG’ is available in both Permanent and Rare Earth Magnet Models. The Mini-MAG XM is designed for heavier pipe coatings or for carrying a larger cutting torch or when using the ‘Mini-MAG’ for welding applications.

‘Mini-MAG’ with Permanent Magnets is designed for pipes having a wall thickness up to 3/8" / 10mm – 2" / 51mm with coatings up to .005" / .13mm (5 mils).

‘Mini-MAG’ XM with Rare Earth Magnets is designed for pipes having a wall thickness up to 3/8" / 10mm – 3" / 76mm.

WARNING:

The ‘Mini-MAG’ should not be used on heavy wall pipe or plate thicker than 2" / 51mm.

The ‘Mini-MAG’ XM Should not be used on heavy wall pipe or plate thicker than 3" / 76mm.

Always secure the machine to the pipe with a Safety Strap.

Motor Control Box

Mini-MAG direction and speed are at your fingertips with the Rugged Motor Control Box. The speed of the ‘Mini-MAG’ is adjustable from 2" / 51mm per minute to 40" / 1016mm per minute.

‘Mini-MAG’ Welding

Many Companies have gained a decisive advantage by using the ‘Mini-MAG’ as a tractor for a Machine welding Torch for doing tedious, long horizontal stringer welds.

The Torch Holder will accept machine welding torches have an 1 3/8" / 35mm welding torch with a 32 pitch rack to raise or lower the torch.

Depending on the welding source, gas mixture, and wire deposition the ‘Mini-MAG’ can propel the welding torch at
speeds from 2" / 51mm to 40" / 1016mm per minute.

      (P.N. 01-0759-008) is available for 230vac
      50/60Hz operation.

•     Available with Torch Holder for 1 3/8" / 35mm
      diameter torch with 32 or metric torch rack.
